There has to be a vacuum between the outer shell and inner liner at all points. If they touched, it would lose heat faster.

She doesn’t want it to hold the Popsicle after it’s melted, she wants one that will hold it frozen in its original shape. I’ve seen large thermoses that could probably do that, but most “lunchbox” thermoses are too small.

It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold, so she put in a cup of coffee and a popsicle.

Our PE (OK, officially they are Kinesiology) Dept. supplies kids with free frozen ice pops after gym class on warm days. Very popular with everyone except the clean-up crew (AKA the classroom teacher).

Reminds me of an old joke:A guy walks into a store and sees a thermos sitting on the shelf. He picks it up, then walks over to the clerk and asks him what it is. The Clerk replies “it’s a thermos”. The guy then asks “what does it do?” “It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold” the clerk replies. The guy is interested and buys the thermos. Later he shows it to his buddies. They also ask what it is…“It’s a thermos, It keeps hot thing shot and cold things cold”“Really? What did you put into it?”“A popsicle and a cup of coffee”

Woman told Reader’s Digest that she told her son to pick any treat he wanted and put it into her purse so they could go to the movies. Halfway through the film, he asked, “Mom, can I have my ice cream sandwich now?”
