This brings to mind a crazy scene from a show no one remembers, “Dark Star”. It starred Richard Benjamin as the captain of a starship that picked up garbage. His first mate was a bipedal plant named Ficus. There was this scene with Ficus in which he performed a fertilisation dance on his back. I can’t recall if there was another plant with him.Take-off on Star Trek? You bet, and funny as h_ll.
Good afternoon Flower fans. You folks should read how plant parts were identified before Carol von Linn (Carolus Linneas) invented the binomial (genus, species) system of plant identification. Male and female parts vary (quantity wise) from genus to genus. A prior description might be 3 husbands with 6 wives in the same house. Very confusion and frowned upon by some. OK. No more plant history. Have a happy and healthy weekend everyone.
@JP Steve: that is a good question, Steve. Back in the days of Von Linn, they were more uptight about sex than we are today (although I sometimes doubt what early writers had to say). Be well, my friend.

The bee’s just a sperm bank that picks up & delivers. The flowers pay for this service with nectar.

Kenny would be far more confused/shocked about this than Iggy! Great strip today.
