G’day Jason, Barb, Joe, Dry, Lonewolf, Bjorn and all Meggsie’s mates.
Not sure whether Dad has been given bad news about the cost of transporting animals or is simply anticipating the worst.
The pets may get on their way with the Meggs family but frankly folks, I’m worried. Don’t know about France but Australia has very strict laws on the entry or re-entry of animals. Best of luck Ginge. On the other hand, maybe if he whispers his name to quarantine officials they will turn a blind eye.
Kjaneh: Ginger is more than loyal. He has an impeccable record of considering animals. Many a time anyone being cruel in any way to an animal has copped his wrath.
The moggies are miaowing like crazy for their dinner. See ya a bit later on.
I, for one, will be hitting the regen button like crazy in a few hours to see what unfolds. If the pets do get to go then a Meggsie fan who is right now preparing to fly out from France in a few hours may see the family arrive at the airport.
Joe: Don’t be concerned about what arrangements should have been made by Ginger’s parents. This is a fast moving strip, not like those serious ones where, personally, they annoy me by going on and on for days over one small detail or idle chatter.
Maybe they arranged for a house-sitter, maybe a next-door neighbour was going to look in, maybe a pet walker was going to come in each day, all sorted without Ginger’s knowledge. I have tried all of those things with greater or lesser degrees of success and have also smuggled pets into motel rooms for overnight stays.
The two mutts in residence here get a separation thing if I so much as leave them in the car to go shopping for 15 minutes. If I ever get to Paris then I need to know just how Ginger is going to get away with this. Am taking notes.
While I struggled to get in the car the other day with two full bags of groceries, the mutts licked my face mercilessly. A passer-by stuck her head in the car window and said, “Ain’t love grand”!
Chikuku: Have looked at your website, thankfully Google suggested the correct spelling LOL - perhaps you have my dyslectic problem of typing too fast with two fingers.
Meggsie’s site may not the place for debate on such a highly-charged issue but I do agree with some of the points on your suggested site and respect all of the opinions expresssed. If you would care to suggest a more appropriate forum I would be happy to contribute.
Joe: “Well, according to the story line here, the Meggs family did leave extra early to go to the airport.”
Remember they had to turn back for their passports? Hence they were rushing - remember the strip where Sarah and John are asking if they’ve got everything since they were stressed and running late now? Few days ago - look back.

Joe: I am (blush) a Doris Day fan. Doesn’t she now run the all-time great resort for pet owners and their pals?
