During the 1862 Civil War battle of Shiloh, soldiers' wounds mysteriously glowed blue- a proven result of bioluminescent bacteria! There are no laws specifically outlawing cannibalism in the US- except in Idaho. Real or ruse? While cleaning out their grandfather's Tampa, Florida, attic, Mike and Maria Lopez found in antique wooden box containing what they believe is the hand of legendary pirate Jose Gaspar!

Why are they so riled against the Confederate Battle Flag when men on both sides were caught up in this evil time with the same love of their God, family, and country and made to war on themselves instead of the principality. The reason they are riled again is to start another war, this time between the skin colors!

Is there a danger of being eaten in Idaho? Must be all those Mormons there…

That’s why you should only eat people if they are roadkill. Otherwise, you could be charged with murder.

There are some serious doubts that the hand actually belonged to Jose Gaspar, but it’s still a pretty ghastly find. And whose hand is it then?

…but do there need to be laws specifically banning cannibalism?

It has been proposed that humans were not the first choice of carnivorous animals because of the disagreeable taste of their flesh. But I’d still avoid saber-toothed cats.

In the Alfred Packer cannibalism trial….From Wikipedia:. According to a local newspaper, the presiding judge, M.B. Gerry, said:.“Stand up yah voracious man-eatin’ sonofabitch and receive yir sintince. When yah came to Hinsdale County, there was siven Dimmycrats. But you, yah et five of ‘em, goddam yah. I sintince yah t’ be hanged by th’ neck ontil yer dead, dead, dead, as a warnin’ ag’in reducin’ th’ Dimmycratic populayshun of this county. Packer, you Republican cannibal, I would sintince ya ta hell but the statutes forbid it.".
