There are more museums in the United States than Starbucks and McDonald's combined! England's Steve Easton, who suffered from a chronic stuffy nose, sneezed out the tip of a toy dart that had been in his nostril for 44 years! Twins occur about once in every 75 births- every 400 births for identical twins. Triplets once every 7500 births... And quadruplets once in every 620,000 births.

And WHY did Mr. Easton have a dart’s tip in his nose for almost half a century?

Looks like the Starbuck’s people have their work cut out for them.

That’s only because museums had a head start

Because you can still go to ‘smalltown USA’ and find Dairy Queen instead of McD’s and a ‘coffee shop’ instead of Starbucks, and you will find at least 2 museums there…

Of course we’re counting things like ‘The Venerable Museum of Ex-Presidents’ ToeNail Clippings’ here – no other way they could total over 21,000 museums…Strange that there are twice as many McDonald’s as Starbucks, though..I’d have thought the opposite – in my podunk there are only 3 McD’s but 8 standalone Starbucks and 5 or 6 more inside supermarkets, and we are definitely NOT cosmopolitan.

Fraternal twins are way more common than identical, yet when people hear the word “twins,” they immediately think, identical.

When my twins were born in the middle 1970’s I learned that about 1 birth in 100 resulted in twins. I wonder where Mr. Ripley’s minions got their 1 in 75. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/24/health/research/twin-births-in-the-us-like-never-before.html?_r=0 says from 1980 to 2009, according to a recent report by the National Center for Health Statistics, the rate of twin births rose 76 percent. Now about one in 30 babies born in the United States is a twin.

That museum fact actually does surprise me. Even knowing that McD’s isn’t as prominent as it used to be.
