It won’t be in near mint condition for long if Jimbo and Pasquale keep handling it. The best thing they can do to maintain the condition and value of the card is to find a sleeve for it and keep it in a dark,dry,climate controlled place until they take it to a card shop. They should also do some research on the card so they don’t get low balled. All rookie cards of a player are not the same.
