    A few times a year, usually in August, when the wind is from the right direction to push the relatively warmer water on the surface towards shore, It can be pleasantly warm…..Until you go there, you have no idea how clear water can be….

    Speaking as someone who has been in Lake Superior. Mercy! That is a chilly lake even in July!

    I’ve been in Lake Michigan, and that was too cold. I know Superior is colder, but I don’t care to find out…. ;)

    N and whiteheron, ever been to Lake Nipigon ……deep enough to be a Great Lake..(450 ft)….It is nicknamed “The sixth Great Lake”..And it’s not much of a stretch…..It’s a freaking beautiful lake….
