Come on, it’s “No Members of the Black Hand Allowed,” clearly!

Why would a “No Hitchhiking” sign be necessary in the US? Isn’t it illegal in all 50 states?

Well, there are still “No Smoking” signs in planes even though they should be superfluous by now. Still, it was news to me that there was a general prohibition against hitchhiking, or that there was a specific sign for it.

I assumed it was ‘No Hitchhiking’ even tho we don’t have signage for it over here.

Oh, that sign means “no hitch-hiking allowed”? I never heard of such a sign before.

I always assumed the sign was posted by the Fashion Police, to indicate that “Body Glove”™® brand casual wear was not acceptable in this area.

I have never seen that kind of sign before but the thumb does kind of look like a unicorn’s horn. Way I see it you have two options, paint your own sign or dress Marigold to look like a moose or deer.

The sign in the cartoon could mean no rude gestures in Australia.

It was a surprise to see hitchhikers in Canada in 1999. There are a few things that seem like a time warp in that country, both forwards and backwards.

I think the sign says “Don’t ask for a ride”

On an unrelated note: I finally popped my Shout! Factory “Enchanted Edition” blu-ray of Rankin-Bass’ The Last Unicorn in just now, and I don’t think I’ll ever get my jaw locked back into place. It. Is. So. Beautiful. The colors, the sharpness, the sound…people say blu-ray is as close as home media will get to seeing it on the big screen, but I saw TLU in theaters (several times) in the ’80s and it NEVER looked or sounded this good!
