My wife pays attention to forced-air hand dryers, especially the more they sound like jet engines and are measured in horsepower as well as (or in preference to) BTUs. As to germophobes, Mythbusters did a bit on whether your hands are freer of germs from using paper towels or hand dryers. Given the way most people wash and dry their hands in a public restroom, it seems that those who use hand dryers have more germ-free hands — but the walls and floors underneath these dryers are amazingly germy, even more so than the toilets.

Only our Broomie would say that! Irwin will have to verify that the gents’ room is similarly equipped….

That’s only exciting when it’s those XCELERATOR hand dryers that practically make your skin flop around.

They’re not using those obnoxious machines to be environmentally friendly or more hygienic — they’re doing it to save money.

Yay! Hopefully they are the super-loud ones that cause piercing agony to everyone in the room. I love being stabbed in the ears!
