Quick, get your blanket nice and wet and then snap him with it a good three or four times. Maybe the pain will be enough to keep him from passing out so you can finish.
I get Lila and Poochie confused sometimes. But I don’t think Poochie ever “owned” Snoopy.
And the early strips weren’t big in continuity. Snoopy was just a neighborhood dog. Chuck was a younger kid with a completely different personality. Lucy and Schroeder started as a toddler and a baby and grew up fast. Its fun to see the strip evolve.
So what, Charlie, I know that my cat belonged to someone else, who got to be an arts major but couldn’t take her with him in college, in the other end of the country. She’s the best pet I ever had, she’s very careful, clean, and kills all vermin, including mice.
I had all the Charlie Brown compilation comic books back in the 60s/70s, and they were read and re-read so many times they fell apart….but not before my OWN kids also read them a dozen times. Enjoying reading these classic comics again. I’m waiting for the Linus and Miss Othmar segment to make it’s appearance. Haven’t read that in decades. Oh, how I wish I still had those books….
We raised our granddaughter and as grandpa, I always had a special relationship with her. When she was about 4, I told her about another little girl that sat on my lap(her mom). I think she cried for an hour, with no consolment

I follow the early strips, and it was fairly clear that Snoopy didn’t belong to Charlie Brown at first.

Children are often surprised when they first find out that the world existed before they did.

Oi. Stop stealing Charlie Brown’s line!
No offence to Lila but who says that original is supposed to be best just because it was there first?
