Dad: When I was a boy, I played baseball all day.
But I had a determination! I wanted to be an adult with my own business. and here I am… an adult with my own business.
Dad: Sometimes I wish I could play baseball all day.
Remember when this was the best time of the year? The school year was over and we weren’t bored yet. Nothing to do but enjoy the summer. Now it’s just more workdays.
Back in those days four or five of us from the neighborhood, and a dog, hung around all summer. Played baseball with an axe handle for a bat. Went swimming in an old sand pit.
I don’t see kids doing that any more. My kids did back in the late 60s though. When did it stop?
