I should have stayed home!! Agoraphobic Janet Faal left her Crawley, UK, home for only the third time in 10 years on April 10, 2015- only to fall into an open manhole. Ozzie got his waddle back! After having a broken leg amputated as a gosling, Ozzie, a goose in South Africa, waddles about using a 3-D printed prosthetic! Welcome Mehmet Ali Gokceoglu fenced in his Cesme, Turkey, luxury villa with a 50 meter long aquarium full of fish and octopuses!

Poor Ms Faal I hope two things: one she was okay after her fall and two her name doesn’t rhyme with that. That’d be double humiliation.

It could have been worse for poor Janet. She could have also been claustrophobic.

The only plural I’ve ever seen for hippopotamus is “hippopotamuses,” never anything like “hippopotami.” The nouns changing “us” to “i” in the plural end in “ius,” such as radii for radius. Not some consonant before “us” as in these animal names (octopus, hippopotamus).

Why are they called oxen instead of oxes? The -en for plural comes from german.Just like nothing is powderized – just pulverized.German for powder is pulver.
