My father ran an retail store and sold appliances. We always had big boxes to play with!

I just remembered this one. Where our basketball goal was it would get muddy after raining since we’d wore all the grass off that area. We’d take several of those big boxes and flatten them out over the mud so we wouldn’t have to wait for it to dry out before we could play again.

The first 8MM Christmas movies my father took with his new Kodak camera was my sister and I playing with the empty boxes after removing the toys…

When I was five, my mother got a new stove and we made a playhouse out of the box complete with window that we cut out and I drew and colored shutters and curtain, ect. I spent many hours happily playing in it!
