Trump paid people to come to his announcement of candidacy. That’s going far beyond planting people to ask friendly questions, which is what G W Bush used to do at his press conferences.
Nothing new here. I have a friend and fellow classmate who made a career out of providing crowds at at the arrival of “select dignitaries”, whether they were political or entertainment. Wait… not necessarily any difference is there?
Anyway, when a particular individual or group was planning an arrival or news event, or whatever, his firm would make sure there were plenty of “supporters” at the event.
And here you just thought it was because they were so well liked…
You people saying that “so-n-so had plants at their press conferences” don’t know what you’re talking about. The fact of the matter is, the mainstream media always treats the present administration more kindly than they should (even though they do treat Democrats more kindly than Republicans). If they get too rough, they won’t be invited to press conferences in the future, and their competition will get the stories.Helen Thomas was probably one of few exceptions, as she’d earned her way to the top after decades of media battle. Everyone kind of just let her have her way out of respect, even when she not only asked questions in a combative manner, the questions she asked were sometimes pretty stupid as well.
Yes ,I have a memory ! And I remember a president being beset by the left media every time he farted but of course no dem president has ever farted- let alone "Never had sex with that woman "because hilly cut him off ! hahaha

Yes because it’s Fox news that fawns all over obama & Hillary. Ever listen to any of the softball questions the mainstream media asks obama??
