In fact, I’m hoping Jon and Liz will break up and go back to the Jon dating gags. As those were really the only part of the comic I liked.

“Are you still single” is kind of a terrible thing to ask anyone. It reeks of judgment. Try “so what have you been doing lately?” instead.

Judging from her facial expressions, communication skills, and that lip-enhancement-gone-wrong, I’d have to guess that yes, she’s still single. At least Jon can change his fashion sense (not that he actually has, of course).

For those who wish to go back to the Jon dating gags, one could have the best of both worlds by Jim Davis occasionally doing a strip about Jon’s past dates that we have not seen, say like a flashback. Personally I like Liz’s interaction with Garfield and how she copes with Jon’s strange behaviour.

I dunno, if Lisa had seen Jon and Liz together, she would probably have fainted from disbelief. And if she’d walked by as they were kissing, her head might have exploded.
