Transcript:
Phoebe: *snif* Marigold: Are yo crying? Phoebe: This movie always makes me cry. Marigold: Then why do you watch it? Phoebe: Because I love it! Marigold: I thought humans found crying unpleasant. Phoebe: It all depends. There's good crying, too. Movie crying is good crying. Marigold: What about shedding a tear for one's own tragic loveliness Phoebe: If that works for you. Marigold: *snif* Yes, this is quite nice!

Pixar’s UP. Specifically that scene and the very, very, end.

On another note….has anyone seen the Animaniacs’ “Bumbi’s Mom”, with Slappy and Skippy? TOO funny, especially for those of us.who are movie sobbers.

When my son was little they had “Dumbo” on TV. I had to leave the room so he would see me sobbing when they took his mother away. Interestingly, when he was very little a friend and I took our young sons (3-ish) to see Disney’s “Cinderella” in the theater, my son unexpectedly broke into heart-broken sobs when Cinderella drove away with her prince. All boy, but one after my own heart!
