Really? I don’t see St. Bernard’s with kegs strapped to their chins.

For those who don’t know how, there are multiple ways to bold text. The one I use is to put an * immediately in front of the text to be bolded and another immediately after it. No spaces between. I know there is a way to use < b > (without the spaces between the b & the < & >) also, but I’m not sure how. It would be helpful to those of us with “older eyes” to see Lynn’s Notes if they are bolded.Thank you.I would do so now, but Monday’s strip still hasn’t posted at her site.

The Search and Rescue supervisors were dedicated and serious. I spent a great deal of time in their headquarters, which had been set up in the Lynn Lake Airport. Big maps on the wall showed the flight paths. The false ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) signal had taken the Hercules away from the position of the downed plane and everyone was becoming edgy and depressed. Once the mistake had been discovered, the Hercules resumed its original pattern. It would track a mile on each side of the path taken by Rod’s plane to the bay on Yathkyed Lake — first in a direct line from start to finish, then back and forth across the first path. Spotters stationed in glass pods on either side of the huge plane would scan the ground a mile out and back, a mile out and back. Any slight irregularity, anything shiny, any swath on the ground, they would report to the pilot who would then swing the plane around to have a closer look. A Twin Otter and a helicopter joined the search. The weather was closing in. Even in August, the arctic can be dangerously cold, and timing was critical.

Who wants to bet that when they are found and reunited with family, after the first round of tears and thanks, the wife/girlfriend give them hell!

On the “Pibgorn” strip, there used to be a list of commands that one could use to change fonts, do strikethrough and any number of other things. Once Brooke disabled the comments, the same list was posted at this website: http://home.comcast.net/~ccdesan/Pibgorn/StyleGuide.html

I will have to check for the one where Michael hurts himself doing something foolish and John tells Elly not to baby him as they are supposed to both be angry at him. Granted, Michael is known for not having all 8 of his cylinders firing. John did not hurt himself doing something foolish; the capsizing was an accident and could not have been predicted.
