Sleepy and embarrassed.

Humiliation is a lot better than dead!

In the comic strip, Michael was old enough to understand what had happened and could talk about the adventure with his friends. At the time of the accident, however, our children were not aware of the seriousness of the situation. All they knew was that Daddy had gone for a trip and big planes had come to town to look for him.

I don’t have a door into the bedroom. Took it off last winter; liked it, left it off.

I’m with you, John. Just remember, you two survived 3 days out there! You showed true grit!

The accident was caused by rough waters. It was nobody’s fault. Why does John have a guilty conscience?

He’s not guilty; he’s embarrassed that he wasn’t able to overcome the difficulties & had to be rescued.

Listen to your son’s tone of voice, John. You have officially earned the title of “Toughest Dad Ever.”

Why is it I don’t feel too sorry about that?
