Nancy prefigures both the 1964 Thomas Berger novel and the 1970 Arthur Penn film “Little Big Man” in which Jack Crabb / Little Big Man shifts about half a dozen times between Native American and white society. He vacillates about where his loyalties lie, alternately fighting as an Indian brave and a member of Custer’s forces. A satire with genuine social conscience, well worth a read/watch if you haven’t experienced it, told from the POV of Crabb at age 120.

You’re undecided now. So, what are you going to do? Undecided was sung by the Ames Brothers including Ed. AKA Mingo in Daniel Boone. But, I could be wrong.
