Try to find a store that sells imported foods. Coke from Mexico is still made with sugar. Or, try a Jewish neighborhood, especially during Passover. Kosher sodas are always made with real sugar.
Earl does have a point Opal. For us I park at a distance for couple reasons. 1. I have trouble turning my neck as I have two bones fused so I drive forward to drive forward when leaving and 2. I so dislike driving to the building with customer’s going in and leaving. Just like me take my life with other drivers. Here where I live there is a YMCA that is booming so much the Y had with approval of city traffic light installed for major traffic. Then there is a new medical center good place being built. The drivers that go to the Y is growing. The Y added more sports buildings they have the land for growth.
Back before I had my knee injury, I’d park at the far end of parking lots just so I could walk more. Of course, that was before fitbits and all that, but still…

I hear ya, Earl. My wife will circle the parking lot for 10 minutes to find a parking space a 5-second walk closer.

I used to live near a health club with valet parking, so all the “exercisers” wouldn’t have to walk 50 yards to and from the parking lot.

What a country, people will drive 4 miles, get in an elevator and go 3 floors up to a gym to use a treadmill and stairmaster.

She wants to save her steps for inside the store. Lots of shopping to do.

First World problems. Not quite like “I have no food and the water is contaminated by Typhus”, but it will have to do until the Apocalypse.

In AZ we park where the shade is regardless of where the store entrance is.

I’m not a fan of walking myself. It’s only better if I’m walking with someone.

Hmm, I always park in the farthest row from the grocery store to get some extra ‘mileage.’
