Andy, take Mum up the steep slippy roof and show her your pigeons. Hey, what happened to the pigeons? What happened, to Mum?. Oh, dear, poor pigeons.
Mum feels safer outside.
Son-in-law, mother-in-law hate, one of the biggest shticks in comedy. sitcoms mostly.

Tell mom that if she wanys in to go home and return with a 12 pack….
Well Andy I have to give you remorseful credit for being honest with Flo about her mother. Flo should know better than to ask Andy for anything especially when mom is concerned.
I wonder if Flo said that with a straight face.
Since the door is already open, how can he keep her out? Has he ever been able to?
Flo’s “Mum” has never hesitated to intrude with or without an invitation!
Andy is a tea man. He probably has no idea how to brew a good pot of coffee (not that it would matter in this case).
Gave my Mother-in law a cup of Java and I closed the door out on my way to the tavern !
