If one of the zombies was a nun, she could be played by Sally Field.

I was lucky, I had 7 channels and UHF. Remember the old console televisions that were the size of a Smart car and twice as heavy? We weren’t lucky enough to have the turntable built into the top like some people. I have a cousin that didn’t get cable until after 9/11, the antenna on top of the tower supplied their tv signal.

    TV nostalgia? All right…

We lived between Topeka and Kansas City. We got the three network affiliates – though ABC reception was poor – out of KC and a CBS affiliate from Topeka. Then some time in the late 60s or early 70s, this station called NET started to come out of, I think, Topeka and showed us a different type of programming; RJ wouldn’t understand it. UHF was just a rumor to us.

When I moved out to a different town, I discovered the joys of cable.

It’s not your “job” to watch it unless you’re a critic. Or do you feel obliged to support an unpopular show? “I watch the dreck so you don’t have to.”

I love RJ. Compared to his life mine looks like George Clooney’s. (oh, that was freudian. RJ always reminds me of GC for some reason, hence the comparison evidently.) Thank you, RJ!

I think the ’toon sums up network summer shows very well.

And I remember the “Flying Nun.” Heck, I remember the ‘Peoples’ Choice."
