Well okay…Two things cleared up in one strip: “Why didn’t Honeymoon have her wrist wizard”, and “Has anyone noticed Diet Smith is missing!” Now, I know that the naysayers will complain that there are a lot of outstanding questions still out there, but we can at least be happy with this little offering!
Little orphan Annie learned a zillion moons agoAt times you should move fast but it’s best to take it slowShe understood why Honeymoon felt the need to search the placeBut going blindly just them two she feared what they might faceA wiser course of action might require a call or twoBut Annie’d feel much safer if she saw the MCUNo reasoning with my friend she’s determined to find her manI’ll have to watch her back until she comes up with a planLeaping Lizards times have changed it wasn’t long agoWhen everybody followed me I was the focus of the showI guess I can’t complain at least this story is new and aliveWho knows one day this just might cause my strip to be revived.
Apparently the exhibit at 52 wasn’t all that interesting—at least, not to ‘tweener would-be detectives. They are without Honeymoon’s main communications device. Will they bell the cat, or will they become the bait in an even larger nefarious plot-turn?At least we’re getting some action at Smith Industries that should stir the pot, just as soon as Officer O’Neal checks back with Carla, and Carla with this receptionist, noting that Mr. Smith is missing amid signs of an early-morning misadventure. The MCU will be getting into gear….
Gweedo informed cpalmeresq,@cpalmeresqNo, I mean pale. Bill’s been out of the light since taking up with Rikki. I’m worried about his lack of natural sun induced vitamin D formation and reduced melatonin levels.-—————————————————————————
I appreciate Gweedo’s concern about my health. I am concerned that the recently installed radium-induced light from the coffin lid might not be in my best interests. I glow in the dark now!
The “blue moon” was so bright in our sky last night that it almost hurt my eyes. It hung low over the ocean and reflected on the surf, sparkled on the washed beach. When I woke up this morning it was still visible in the morning sky and still bright, but it had moved more to our West. Maw Nature really put on a show.
Gould handled the loss of Tracy’s two-way wrist TV in the original Bribery story by having him fly too close to a bush while pursuing Bribery and Ugly Christine using his air car.
I know Sandy’s absence disappoints some of you, but note that Honeymoon and Annie have 1) been in a mall, 2) on a public bus (traveling to the exhibit) and 3) in the Am Exhibit – none of which are places that will allow dogs except in cases such as to help the sight-impaired. I think Curtis and Staton looked ahead at the story and saw that having Sandy around would cause some plot difficulties.
I’m a little confused about something:Diet Smith was abducted at 3 am, then presented to Mr. Bigg. Then we saw Honeymoon and Annie traveling at night, to the museum. Now we see Diet Smith’s absence being noted at 11 am.-Was the museum open overnight?Did Junior and Sparkle know the girls were going out around 4 am?Shouldn’t that sequence with them have taken place in the morning, say 9 am?And am I going to be today’s nitpicker supreme?(Sorry. OCD.)
A peaceful Saturday morning everyone.-—-@Night-Gaunt49: I agree. There needs to be Annie movies with some of the comic stories, like this one for example.-——Be happy and healthy my friends.
Annie appreciates all the supportIt’s good to know she’s not an afterthoughtShe’s hopeful one day she will reappearIn a strip of her own her name it will bear.
Sad to hear about Roddy. Learned several new things about him though. He was born is Saskatoon (where I was born) and he was just two years older than me (!) when he died. Oh and his father was an RCMP officer which is why Roddy grew up in Winnipeg.
Lupin or lubin are werewolves. Wolf-like creatures sort of anthropoid. Been sighted in the USA. Though they don’t seem to be too aggressive.____________________
The problem is that all the Annie movies have been just redoing the stage show. Not any real stories. Now that frustrates me.____________________
The musical sort of became what Annie’s all about in the public consciousness, it would be difficult to get past that now, though an action/adventure interpretation set in the 1920’s would be very cool.
A good friend of mine and a frequent poster here is celebrating his 29th anniversary tomorrow! It might be his 29th anniversary with the 12-step program, but I suspect it’s his wedding anniversary! Happy A, my friend!
For those interested in Pluto The Weather Network (Canada) has a roundup of 25 interesting things we’ve learned about Pluto since the fly-by with pictures and short descriptions of each one. Many of these you have seen before if you’ve been paying close attention, but there are probably some pictures (and facts to go with them) that you haven’t seen.

Where’s Sandy? I thought that he and Annie were inseparable.

Reminiscent of how Tracy’s wrist wizard was once AWOL at a convenient plot point.
“Copper Allergy” – No kidding.
And I believe that was during the previous Annie story!

Are the two shadow guys in panel 3 significant ?
I think they’re the guys that have an 11:00 appointment with Diet Smith.Neil Wick over 9 years ago
Rained hard earlier but got some sky clearance for a not very blue looking moon before the new D.T.
It’s not supposed to look blue. It just means there are two full moons in the same calendar month.stsparky over 9 years ago

The “ANNIE” movie was a big flop, according to available stats … so who knows what the syndicate will do. Let us just hope they will try to revive it.

I’d be surprised if they figure in the story. They’re just background scenery, really. We have enough “irons in the fire” for now.AnyFace over 9 years ago
