The scumbag cop is on suspension pending his dismissal, plus he will have to re-imburse the city for the cost of the manhunt for the non-existent assailants.
What I don’t understand is how he is not facing criminal charges. Nobody seems to know his motive, but it does seem bizarre, so I wonder if there isn’t a psychiatric issue.

^Could be. There was an assistant principal at a nearby school who stabbed himself and claimed he was attacked by a student (unnamed). He was of course fired, arrested and placed under psychiatric care.

When I was abducted and probed by aliens, I told the police I was held as a love slave by Jennifer Lopez. The psychiatric hospital they put me in has bars.
