Hey, some (but not all) of the bands playing casinos, despite being great bands, never had the draw of the starmaker machinery to sell them to the sheep who need to be told what to like. Some of them have played small venues their whole careers, to a loyal cross-generational fan base. I once saw Motorhead play in a club the size of a firehouse (which it was, in its previous incarnation). The show the previous night in the same venue was Bo Diddley.
