The number of award shows (not just Country Music) scares me. I always dread award season. The Emmys, the Grammys, the Oscars, the CMA, People’s Choice, Billboard…All dominated by shows/stars I have no interest in, with acceptance speeches that lull me to sleep until the moments. And the worst parts: one it takes away time from shows I’d much rather watch, two it ruins the buffer shows they insert in the schedule when the awards go over their allotted time (they’re worse than Major League Baseball). And don’t they ever consider trimming it by cutting the commercials (supply and demand says you’ll be able to demand even higher prices for the airtime).
I love cross-overs. I think it’d be awesome if all the cartoonists got together and spent a week every year letting other characters visit their worlds.I loved it a few years ago on April Fools Day (I think) when bunch of cartoonists got together and drew others’ strips.

I know it’s all about money, but an awards show every month seems excessive. But I don’t watch, so it doesn’t bother me.

I love cross over comics…..if they’re done cleverly. This one works.

I agree. I enjoy the cross-overs. Would like to see them more often.

I appreciate the comments, and if you’re not a fan of ‘guest spots’ in comic strips…look away for a few days. Take care, all!

Yah, have all the crazy old ladies in one, crazy old men in another, crazy old cavemen in a third, then . . .well, you know
