“I don’t mind the congregation members pulling out their watches to look at while I’m preaching. It’s when they hold them up to their ears to be sure they are still running that I get upset!”
Uhhhh…how come some of you folks have a green sign with the word Genius in it? What does that mean? How come everyone doesn’t have a Genius sign next to their name? How do I get one?
I’m just learning how this site works. What do the flags at the end of your comments mean? Is that what you mean when you say you flagged a spammer?
As you can tell I’m not all that computer literate. When I was a kid in the ancient times we didn’t even imagine such a thing as the internet or computers would ever exist.
So now I’m the kid trying to learn what 10 year olds seem to know instictively. Please be patient with me.
This is sad on my part but I have dozed off during our Pastor sermon by accident. I have a good reason I have three types of pills I take evening to bed time all make me sleepy and I don’t drive either at that time. One is for muscles won’t say the other two. I had Rt shoulder work a month ago and going great. Nearing the end of therapy.
Joe ~ Gma or sometimes Gmom are just how I refer to my Grandma whenever I am writing. I’ve done it that way for several years now and don’t really think about it much.
I live with my grandma and so frequently write down things with that abbreviation. She fell the other night and broke her hip. She had surgery, so far it looks like she is doing fine. She won’t be home for a few weeks though because they want to keep her in a nursing home until they decide she is ready to come home.
I’m sorry your grandmothers passed away when you were so young, Joe. One of my favorite things about grandmothers is that to them their grandchildren are perfect and their children are not. (or at least that’s what they say). It must have been hard to lose your Grandma Rosa when you were so far away, especially learning about it after a while instead of right away.
LuvH8 - I’ll pray for your grandma, too. Unfortunately for me, 3 of my 4 grandparents died before I knew them. The other one, well, I was the 15th (out of 18) grandchild, and we only seemed to see her when all my cousins were there, too. Hard to have a great relationship with her, when there were 27 people in the house at the same time. It is great that your grandma & you have a close relationship. I know from watching my parents’ health deteriorate, how difficult that can be on us. Both more responsibility, and the realization that they won’t be around forever.
My Grandma is doing better and should be going into a nursing home in the next day or two. She will be there until her hip is well enough to come home. She is really enjoying all the company, if not the reason for it.

LUVH8 That is totally unrelated, non sequitur, and inconsequential.

So now we can say “it’s good to know the truth, but best to speak of frogs”?

There are no atheists in frog holes. Atheists have holes of their own.

Flong2934 - To add to Joe’s info: By purchasing the “Genius” upgrade, the pop-up ads don’t show up.

Thank you Doctor Toon, she will appreciate that. You and Lonewolf are good people.
So is Bmonk, he probably prays for her just because I live with her and she can use extra prayers for that alone.
