It’s a wonder the raccoons/possums/neighborhood dogs haven’t been in that garbage can yet.

Nothing says hot summer day quite like the smell of sun warmed garbage….Yeah, boy!

There is nothing quite as rank as rotting shrimp. My father would get a box from New Orleans when was kid. We would keep the empty box way out into backyard until garbage day. There was a toxic miasma around that thing for about 20 yards after a couple of days in the summer heat,

and the left overs sitting in the garbage can in the sun for a couple of days………ripe!!!!!

Probably has OCD…. but just in case she doesn’t….

I thought maybe he dumped last night’s rice in there.

Compost, Janice, compost. I put my food scraps in the blender with some water, make a slurry and pour it on the plants. If we ate shrimp, I think I’d use that on the back garden, though.

I would have triple bagged the food in shopping bags before putting them in the trash.

Many vegetables last quite a while before they start rotting, and then all at once, they go bad….and when they do, oh, man…They stink to the high heavens…..

The shrimp shells & cantaloupe rinds should have gone into the compost heap that Arlo built a few summers ago!

Gads., I know that feeling – we had lawn leavings in our can that made that smell like someone dying in our can. Why does vegetation going bad smell so bad?

Boiled shrimp…ugh… Now, steamed shrimp, there you go!

Garbage Uffda….

Like this never happpened before? Janis must have been born yesterday. I put anything like this, well labelled, in the freezer, take it to the Dump next time I go.

She feels like she’s covered in the smell! I probably would do the same thing, lol.

Raw Chicken can be real nasty too!

We’ve been in Portland, OR, since Saturday. Here they pick up recycling every week, and garbage every other week. All fine and good, except that it was 97° or so here yesterday. You’re supposed to compost garbage. In St. Petersburg, FL, they pick up the garbage twice weekly, and just started recycling in July. Guess Portland is more “civilized” than St. Pete.
