Tombstones circle an ash tree in the yard of London's St. Pancras Old Church- move there by Thomas Hardy in 1865 to make way for the Midland Railway. To reach his goal of 5000 rides on the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood in West Mifflin, PA, Vic Kleman rode the roller coaster for eight hours, taking 95 rides on the coaster's 95th birthday! Chinchillas have fur so dense that over 50 hairs grow out of a single follicle. Humans only grow an average of two.

So how do you find your ancestor’s tombstone around that tree if it’s packed amongst the other stones?

What happened to the residents who those stones belonged to?

That guy’s roller coaster rides are equal to all the times my late dad rode “It’s A Small World” at Disney World.

Get Bill Bryson’s “At Home: A short history of everything” for an account of English cemetaries. Gruesomely hilarious.Occasionally, the old bones were removed to mass pit graves to make room for more bodies.

The Jack Rabbit Roller Coaster is a wooden coaster that features a double dip following the lift hill. It gives you more “air time.”

Nah, the Jack Rabbit’s more fun! But even more fun is the Phantom’s Revenge. Or for wooden ones, the Thunderbolt. Yes, I’ve been to Kennywood many a time!

Nothing beat the Cyclone Racer (demolished in 1968 to make way for the Queen Mary) at the Pike in Long Beach. The numerous ‘urban legends’ that it occasionally derailed made it even more exciting !!
