I doubt if it’s Walt. That wouldn’t make for an interesting story. It’s gotta be Byrd, or Lil Skinner or someone entirely new to the plot line. Maybe it’s another orphan like Skeezix who will become a regular and stay with the strip forever.
Well, Annie is outta work now. Maybe she made her way to GA after escaping her last kidnapping, and Walt’s letting her hide in the basement until he can get word to Daddy Warbucks.

I had the same thought after I posted EARLY THIS MORNING. They need to replace some of these folks. Walt needs to die sooner because it’s too late for it to be later.
We’ll miss him, but he’ll never really be gone.
