Pretty much of what I learned in college is now obsolete… My field of cytogenetics evolved after I graduated. Fortunately, most technical education can be used as a bridge to learn the new things.
My sympathy to those who majored in ‘economics’ within the last decade.
Same with me. But I don’t work anymore so what do I care?
A college degree served it’s purpose. But sometimes I think that I would have been happier in a less stressful job without the diploma.
My expectations were lowered once I started working at places where mediocrity was the standard.
