Thanks, Marge.I love happy ending stories like that.I just wish that there were NO miserable low lifes that mistreated animals like that.Thank God that one decent human found the little one and made it right.
The towel wrap would work. The problem with my “kiddies” is picking them up to put the towel around them. I’m disabled, and even with my son’s help—-we can’t catch the little spitfires. They get away unless they are too sick to “vanish”. :-(((If we catch them, we KNOW they’re sick!
We have an animal loving pharmacist. She takes the pills, grinds them up, adds tuna juice and a measuring dropper/top to the bottle.Shake well (to completely mix the solution), measure by dropper full, squirt! ;-DShe used the tuna for a tuna fish sandwich for lunch that day. It worked like a charm on my last cat who needed daily thyroid meds. It tasted good so she really didn’t mind, but even she didn’t like being grabbed and picked up for her daily “squirt”.But these three are kinda wild, and you cannot catch them to pick them up. Tuna packed in water—-the water tasted like “tuna juice”. Lunch for the pharmacist!
Sorry to repeat, but sometimes I get on too late, and the next day’s comic is already posted. So I answer the comments yesterday, then copy and post them on today’s so you know I answered you.@GweedoHope your new router does the trick.
The tuna water works but most of the time I just grind the pill and mix it in a small bit of canned food take sure they eat it all. A mortar and pestle is good to have for grinding pills as well as herbs etc.
Thanks for my morning laugh! Ahh here are the pigeons, to take my messages to the telegraph office! All the storms we had recently, I’m so far out in the boonies, Mother Nature couldn’t find me! we got MAYBE 1/2" rain total…..
This website has lots of good advice about pilling cats, as well as other issues. I’ve had decent luck using a pilling syringe with the flexible tip to hold the pill..http://www.catsofaustralia.com/give-cat-pill.htm
What other strip can boast such wonderful suggestions for medicating cats!!!! Thank you, Graham, for this opportunity. However, the outcome of today’s strip should have been the mice exiting the bar quite battered up…after all, her ladyship, Lily, was in attendance and…..well, you all know Lily! LOL
@MCTS – your pictures are the best! Love the baby bottle! We’ve been on thyroid meds for the last two weeks. My girl was prescribed transdermal cream which goes on the non-fur part of the ear. Wow! This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! The pharmacy is across the US from us – in New Jersey – and when we got started, it was a wait, since they were out of one of the compounding elements. I bought pills from the vet – talk about a fight! When I called to get the pill prescription, the pharmacy gal said, “Oh yes, Scarlett, she is such a CHALLENGE!” As I mentioned a while ago, they have to gas her to do anything. Politically correct, they are at this vet’s office!
A blissful Sunday to everyone.-——@Noreen Klose: My neighbor finally got her two cats to come indoors. She crushed the pills (Capstar) and mixed them in the cat food. Both of her cats ate most of the food.-——Have an abundant day my friends.
There is an animal pharmacy here called BCP that makes treat flavored meds. We had to go through our vet to get them ordered, but it was worth it.Husband and I went to lunch today for my birthday tomorrow. Thought today would be a better day. Spent $50 (included tip) for an awesome lunch with cheesecake for dessert. (No we didn’t go to Mousie’s.) Best pre-birthday lunch ever!!!!! >^..^<
Are those two Chesney and Lily? I can’t believe that they would go quietly. As Mousies is still standing, I’ll have a glass of mewlot, and a Johnnie Walkies chaser please.
@Noreen Klose: I’m sorry that Onyx has HIV in his eye, but happy that it can be treated. God is using you, LadyKat, QoA and several others to take special care of the kittens/cats. God Bless All of You.

Good morning, everyone. Do any of you have an e-mail address for Ruth or some other way one of us can get in touch with her and make sure she’s OK?

The ear pastes sound brilliant, as do the meds mixed with food that cats like. I don’t know why they can’t make them more easily available.
