When America invades Muslim countries killing hundreds of thousands, spreading unprecedented terrorism abroad, and destabilizing a region, can one really not expect the occasional incident like four marines being shot at home to happen? Is it foreign inspired terrorism or is it retaliation for hundreds of thousands of Muslims being killed and maimed?
Had Bush 41 not totally screwed the pooch, starting our longest continuous war in history in Iraq, the hatred of the U.S. would be much less volatile. Had “W” not destroyed all the infrasturucture, physical and political in Iraq, ISIL would have no cause to exist. Cheney/Rumsfeld/Bush DID create ISIL, period…
“……And no matter how you slice it now, Congress was in step with the action……”.You can get support for bogus action two ways: 1. Cook the information; 2. Buy token support from the so-called coalition of the willing. For example the Marshall Islands provided two or three combatants in return for some favor.
