There was a similar gag once that was referring to the SATs to the effect of “Those who test well will proceed to college and the rest will go on to a rewarding career in the food services industry.”
When i was a kid the pirate with the glass eye & a hollow peg leg was hungry for more DairyQueen hotdogs & mashed potatoes. But the crew would have none of it. Instead they drove the big, oversized firetruck eastward to the Canary islands where peace rang out thru out the land. Here, all compasses pointing North were banned.
louieglutz: I don’t think that was ever permitted in Texas. Back in the 1960s, when I presided over the Texas Consumer’s Association, we were trying. Truth in Labeling, Truth in Lending, etc. at the federal level was a piece of cake compared to trying to drag “the only lege we’ve got” into the 20th century.

Awfully early to start school, aren’t we? I know, I know. SOME places like Arizona do. My cousins’ children are there.

I don’t get this one. Is she saying that the less intelligent students can’t do math well enough to know how to use their money?

Having taught elementary and middle school math, this would be the most useful class offered.

when i was a kid, schools did teach that. it would appear, however, that they stopped some time ago.

the 3 dogs couldn’t be bothered with whatever the old man said. They didn’t want no part of chasing the cat thru the barn.
