Snoopy must know my boss. Every time I screw something up at work, I hear about it from her for at least 20 minutes non-stop, depending on how mad she is about it!
Self control isn’t a sign of maturity, it’s a sign of knowing when to give in and when not to. Loosing your temper happens to all of us, just as long as it doesn’t happen to often it’s not a bad sign. But if it happens at the drop of a hat then you have problems.
CB didn’t even notice Snoopy left and came back. I know many like that. Once they start holding forth they are oblivious to everything but the sound of their own voice.
My brother had a cat that tormented dogs (and sometimes rode them). My sister in law invited us to Christmas on year, and told us to bring our dog, who was an Old English Sheepdog. When my dog approached the cat, my sister-in-law said “watch this, this will be funny” (which it was). The cat, took a swipe at him, only to discover that the dog was “heavily armored”. The swipe just netted the cat a handful of fur, and an angry dog. The cat spent the rest of the evening hiding, and my dog had a nice, peaceful evening. My sister in law never invited my dog over for Christmas again, however.
I always thought that cats and dogs hated each other but that’s not always the case. I’ve heard of people having both a cat and a dog for pets and they’ve never tried to kill each other.
Cats can often defeat dogs, even ones much larger.
My grandparents used to have a cat, Penny. Penny was a small fluffy white cat – maybe about 8lbs total. Penny was also a fighter – she’d go to town on a feather duster or anything else resembling prey.
One day, Penny got out and sat on the fence by the neighbor’s yard. The neighbor’s doberman started barking loudly at her. Penny threw herself at the doberman’s face, and slashed with all four sets of claws. The doberman ran and hid.
@Kaput & @Sully My Mom used to have a cat that loved to parade around the yard when it saw a dog coming. It would pretend not to see the dog, even if barking. Just as the dog got there it would jump straight up in the air, coming down on the dog’s back with all claws out, hanging on as the dog went yelping down the street. Most dogs learned quickly, but there were a couple dogs that never learned, time after time.
WE had a cat that was so aggressive it once attacked Five Dogs at Once. the whole Pack of them, all at least Two or Three times the weigh of the cat. And, he was Winning until my brother turned the garden hose on them..On another occasion, the cat attacked a Mule that lived a couple blocks over from us.When we ran over to see why the Mule was making so much Noise, the cat was perched in the middle of the Mule’s back with all 4 sets of claws buried deep. The Cat was apparently Enjoying the “Hunt”.The Mule, not so much.

Now that I think of it, the only neighborhood dog that our cats were able to intimidate was a beagle.

I like sushi if it has salmon on it. So I don’t understand why snoopy shouldn’t like cat food, considering it’s basically salmon food.
