It could be worse. It could be the Wall Street Journal or New York Times. No comics section at all! What’s the use of a newspaper without a comics section?
It was and is a great collection of comics but starting about 2 years if you look at more than 5 or 10 articles including comics in a month, you’re prompted to subscribe…no thanks…although I bet Jason would appreciate the monetary possibilities….
I would say the Houston Chronicle has a better page; I see a lot of GoComics readers going there when this site is on the fritz . . .http://www.chron.com/entertainment/comics-games/
I live in the DC area. It’s been a few years since I was a subscriber, but the print edition of the Post at least did have an excellent comics section. And printed at something resembling a legible size, even!
I think Bill Amend was just having fun with it. The Post carried Foxtrot, and I doubt in was in much danger of cancellation.

My eyes are rolling at Jason’s un-enthusiasm for his patriotism.

I don’t think he’s exactly kissing up here.

To be honest I have never read The Washington Post in person, only online. So… Is TWP’s comics section really great or is Jason being sarcastic?
