Haven’t darkened the church door in ages and my bible may have a thick coat of dust BUT doesn’t it say something about pain and blood in retaliation for leading poor innocent man astray and getting him thrown out of paradise? Something about man having to earn his keep by the sweat of his brow because he allowed woman to seduce him? Mind you, that book might have been written by males, but a lot of people believe it.
I will be hiding in deepest, darkest Tahiti. Women are not allowed to enter with pitchforks and tourches.
@Lewreader: noooooo….it doesn’t quite say that…smh.
Adam and Eve were two eternal beings created by God and placed in a garden they didn’t have to tend.
They chose not to trust God. He told them they could eat of all the trees except the one of the knowledge of good and evil. The serpent came, twisted his words around(like he always does) and Eve fell for it…the fall didn’t happen until Adam partook of the forbidden fruit…
The sin nature was birthed in them and now people sin and die(2 deaths: spiritual(away from God) and physical).. This why God came up with the brilliant plan of being “born again”
Part of the dying process and Adam and Eve’s initial punishment was that Adam would till the ground and eat by the sweat of his brow(working hard). No longer would everything be handed to him….Meanwhile, Eve’s punishment was to give birth with much pain and labor…most likely instead of the ease she may have had in the garden…
I never tried to have my babies any earlier than necessary. They’re much easier to feed and transport inside. Plus they never cry until they come out. ;-)
I enjoyed my first pregnancy but the 10 days after the due date got pretty hard, especially since we had over 30°C. The other two I was nauseous the whole time, not just in the morning and not just the first 3 months, couldn’t wait for the babies being born. Also it was difficult to help the older children tie their shoelaces late on in the pregnancy… :þ

I can honestly say, I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant! And all my labors were 4 hours long, tops. I was lucky!

And you don’t have to change them until they come out either…
