Ummm…For those of you unfamiliar with these kinds of toilets, the little faucet on top provides water if you need to wash your hands before suiting back up. You really don’t want to drink it…
Since that water is intended for washing your hands, I doubt that anyone as fanatic about Cleanliness as the Japanese would tolerate anything but Clean Fresh water from that faucet..Plus, unless you have a Grey Water system installed, it would have to be fed from the Same water line as the Kitchen Sink..BTW, that water is also refilling the Tank for the next flush, so it is NOT going to change your water consumption or increase your Bill..
The public toilets I used in Japan were the kind where you got “Washed”. No Paper in sight unless you brought your own.No paper and very little reason to worry about hand washing.I did anyway out of habit. I also carried a some paper napkins to Dry my hands since most of the public toilets didn’t provide paper Towels, either..
