It was in the late 70’s, roughly when this was done, they covered up the entrances to the bomb shelter in my high school. it now rests under a few tones of timber in the wood working shop. Before it went, a few friends snuck an old hand run printing press from the graphics class and a few old trays of letters, ink, and a bunch of communist party fliers down there. It’s all sealed up. waiting for a future generation to discover it and declare they have found a communists hot bed in suburban NYC.
