LOL!! I find this especially funny because a month postpartum I look about 10 months pregnant still but both my sister-in-laws are back in their size 2’s. Grrrrr.

Poor Cathy.. sometimes its not such a good idea to be empathetic.

@mcveinot I also kept my “baby fat” for several months (?years??) after giving birth, and although I breast fed, no formula or foods for the first 9 months, the weight still didn’t come off. My cousin lost too much nursing her oldest and had to add in supplements. Go figure…

Me too. There are several support groups that I think about joining, but I find them a little disappointing. Thank goodness for gocomics… :-)

Sounds like I’m not the only new mom who left the hospital weighing more than when I came in. Never could figure out that math…let’s see subtract 8lbs 3 oz. of baby, subtract placenta, and get a larger number?

go figure… I actually gained very little weight when pregnant, lost it all, plus some when my son was born…but… I got post-partum depression, was given anti-depressants and am now 3 sizes larger than I was just after giving birth…

I didn’t lose my “baby weight” either….and my baby’s 20. Waaaaaaaaaah!

Rmom – my heart goes out to you – I can’t imaging how you gained weight after the baby was born – are you sure they didn’t weigh you with the bambino in your arms?
