Clayton: Okay, Katy. This tournament lasts for a month. And I don't want to miss a minute. So I suggest we alter our schedules so that we're on South Africa time 24/7. Katy: But it'll be dark when we wake up, and the sun will still be up when we go to bed. Clayton: Right. We'll call it "Grandma hours"! She's probably up right now! Katy: Let's call her and see who she's cheering for!

American Grandma and soccer…??? really? I suppose they do wear short shorts and are rather in good shape.

I thought they were referring to the way many old people sleep very little at night, napping on and off through the day.

Grandma has a very good idea about those afternoon naps. For one, you get to sleep through Oprah.

I’m cheering for it to be over so I can stop having it shoved down my throat.

I used to sleep so well, now I’m like grandma. Up at 5:00 am.

Grandma hours? I am a male of 78 (79 in Sept.) and am rarely in bed before 12:A.M. , and seldom up before 8 or 9 AM.
But then I’m not a grsndparent. Been a dedicated loner.

I work the overnight shift so those hours seem sensible to me. There’s nothing like a cup of coffee a few hours before sunrise and listening to the birds wake up, then in bed by noon.
