Tia Carmen: Where are you going? Baldo: The world cup starts in two days! Baldo: I'm camping out for a good spot. Tia Carmen: A good spot where? Baldo: In front of the... Dad: USA! USA! USA!
Papi is smart enough to save the money so he doesn’t have to go to the stadium to watch the World Cup game. He prefers to stay home and watch the World Cup Game on the TV. Papi. enjoy watching it. And of course, good sportmanship, too!
TEAM USA is becoming a powerhouse according to NPR. Don’t sell them short. Perhap as demographics change here, our team becomes more diverse and competetive.
Hey Cantu & Castellanos,
I do enjoy this strip very much. I think that the story and the family members are funny and very real and I must say KUDOs to You!
But I think that Baldo should have a good run of luck now. I’d like to see him get rewarded for his efforts in being a forthright and all around good guy.
Please, please, PLEASE let him finally get that car!
Just a thought, okay?
Thank You.

I can understand Papi wanting to watch on TV. Going to South Africa for a month or so is expensive. Team USA will probably be pasted again anyway.

I can’t believe I just read through that diatribe, expecting there to be a point to it.
I’ll learn one day.

I hope that question mark means you’re kicking yourself for thinking such a thing.

ElDo Disc Golf said That Latino Family isn’t for the “Tricolores”?!? That would be bucking the trend in So Cal.
“Tricolores” most commonly is in reference to the blue, white, and red of the French national flag

I was also pleased to see Sergio rooting for Stars & Stripes (USA). Most of my neighbors are recent immigrants from Mexico and still pull for La Tri.
