I never read the instructions just look at the pictures. Easier and comes out correct.

Yes, you should anchor all bookcases to the wall, of course not just IKEA ones. Children are known to climb on them. Of course in my generation, they were never anchored.

Number two som pulled one over. It had glass door which shattered. He got away without a scratch.

I gave up on assembling the Ikea igloo – it included 200 liters of bottled water.
