There are a few thought provoking comics today. Calvin & Hobbs, Breaking Cat News and now PreTeena. I don’t come here to learn, but it is nice when I do.

Send Jeri to the island.

Life is far worse then Jeri can be.. and so are many people.

Best revenge: invent a drug that gives eternal life, and only let Jeri have it.

Note that I said “eternal life”, not “eternal youth”.

There are too many people for this earth to support now..

Eternal youth with heavy regeneration capacity. Or you end up a living trunk. You don’t want eternal life of broken down body either. On the island of Luggnagg, Gulliver encounters the Struldbrugs, people who are immortal. They do not have the gift of eternal youth, but suffer the infirmities of old age and are considered legally dead at the age of eighty.They live on and on as failing bodies till they are trapped within them begging for death.

Expect the rich to get all the benefits of extended lives while they withhold it from us. If you want extended life it is time to go out into space. No children from you either. Most think they will get a better version of immortality from JHVH and a “newly remade Earth”.

I think I found a kindred spirit in Stick.

It indeed depends.Immobility, insomnia and immortality doesn’t exactly sound like a winning trio.

If you can stay a single age, including not having your brain shrink or nose an ears continue to grow, you can outlive the bad times.
