Hundred years ago a person like Stick would have died in early childhood. However a hundred years ago we didn’t have such a high amount of children with super allergies, as by living on farms our immune systems had plenty of real threats to deal with rather than react to minor irritants.

I’ve always wondered why kids with inhalers is such comic fodder. For those that need them it is certainly not a laughing matter.
