Early in our marriage, my husband & I had an interesting & fun way to Christmas shop. Since I didn’t have a license, we would go together to the mall. We’d start in the Food Court, synchronize our watches, agree to a time to meet back up, then we’d split up & shop for each other. It was a lot of fun trying to avoid each other! There were 2 large boxes in the car trunk so that one couldn’t see what the other bought. At the agreed time, we’d meet back in the Food Court, have lunch, then – together – shop for friends & family. All in one day.
I hate buying local though I shouldn’t. The prices are astronomical! Of course the bloody council sets the shops rents skyhigh as well! It all goes back on the council!

Perfect illustration of the commercialization and greed of the holiday season.

One would think that an artist would be less mocking of small businesses.
