One 4th of July, my husband & I were watching the city fireworks from our apartment building front porch with a bunch of our building-mates. There was a couple with a little 2-year-old daughter, Rosie. Rosie wasn’t impressed with the fireworks & kept saying, “All done? All done?” My husband and another guy started flashing their Indiglo watches (remember those?) at her; she was more entertained by the watches than the fireworks!
Being 71 years old I’ve seen allot of 4th of July fire works shows. The best was Boston harbor. Nothing tops John Williams leading the Boston Pops 1812 overture and the most amazing fire works. The worst? A small Colorado town with a small budget. They launched the rockets one every minuet. If they had shot the works in a couple of minuets, It would have been short but very sweet.

There’s nothing worse than adults having a “second childhood”.
Unless they never outgrew their first!!
