My brother and I couldn’t stand each other at that age, either .. but we’re best buds, a few decades on.
Hopefully, the same holds true for Teena & Jeri.
Jeri would have to mellow out a lot, though .. sometimes that, too, can come with age (not always, unfortunately).
I would have a hard time appreciating Jeri since she reminds me of my sister at that age. But she grew up. Maybe Jeri will too.
My husband nearly died in 2010. On her first birthday after that – her 9th – she said that her favorite gift was the fact that he was still there to celebrate with her.
