It’s a funny trope in comics that kids’ rooms are messy and the joke is always about parents telling them to clean it.
But in real life, if one teaches the children to clear up their toys before bedtime, as soon as they are old enough to throw them about…then that part becomes routine and they do more and more of taking care of their surrounding and their space as the grow older. I never had to pester my kids to clean their rooms.
