In first grade, one of the boys would share his marshmallows with me at lunch (he sat in front of me). Fast forward to our senior year in high school, one of my friends started to date him (they eventually got married) and when she found out he had a crush on me in first grade she went ballistic and forbid him to talk to me. Needless to say, our friendship ended (hers, not his). I still can’t fathom how someone could be so jealous (insecure) about something so innocent.

My first boyfriend gave me a gift from a trip in a small white box… it was a musket ball.
